Playbook

About

Role: Lead Designer This is one of my recent projects with Playbook. I’ve been working on their social content and blogs, along with the occasional e-book here and there. This particular project involved a lot of layout and graphic design, and it felt extra special knowing it was something that could genuinely help other designers like me who freelance. What I love about Playbook is how it creates space for creatives to shine. For this project, I spent time exploring the work of artists already in the Playbook community and used their art as the main visual element. It was a great way to highlight real creatives while building something useful and inspiring.

Challenge

Playbook wanted to create something truly valuable for freelancers, a growth toolkit that makes their day-to-day easier, smarter, and more profitable. The challenge was to design a resource that felt approachable and useful, while clearly showing how Playbook supports creatives in simplifying their workflow and growing their business. After selecting relevant graphics from the Playbook library, I realized the options were a bit limited. This pushed me to see things from a different perspective. I repurposed the same visuals by cropping them, changing angles, and even reflecting them to create variety and balance throughout the design. It became a fun exercise in creative problem-solving and making the most of what was available.

Result

We helped design a clear, engaging, and user-friendly toolkit guide that makes Playbook’s resources easy to navigate, turning the product into a friendly, go-to companion for freelancers who want to simplify their workflow and grow their business. Collaborating with Playbook has always been a blast, especially since they’re known for truly supporting creatives, from providing a space to organize work and content to building a vibrant community. It’s exciting to be part of such a cool project, designing e-books and guides that help freelancers thrive while sharing their passion for creativity.
